2018吉利汽车宁波国际马拉松将于10月28日在宁波杭州湾新区鸣枪开赛，赛事规模为人，将由来自全球15个国家，全国27个省市自治区及港澳台选手参与其中，齐聚宁波杭州湾新区领略“湾区”之美。本届赛事由中国田径协会、宁波市人民政府、浙江省体育局主办，宁波杭州湾新区开发建设管理委员会、宁波市体育局共同承办，北京铭泰体育产业投资有限公司独家运营。赛事以“开心跑，甬向前”为主题，旨在让万名跑友通过赛事感受运动快乐，体会“甬”往直前的马拉松精神。发布会最为注目的是公布本届甬马完赛奖牌。本届马拉松奖牌以“甬”字为主设计元素，蕴含三层设计理念。早在春秋时期，宁波就被称为“甬地”，奖牌“甬”字造型代表着宁波历史悠久的文化底蕴；“甬”字造型也像杭州湾跨海大桥航道桥造型，象征杭州湾跨海大桥这座宁波标志性建筑；“甬”字造型宛如古代钱币，表示宁波及杭州湾新区卓越的经济发展成果。奖牌正面依次排列赛事信息，庄重而简介；奖牌背面则以杭州湾跨海大桥为主画面，辅以“开心跑、甬向前”甬马口号，寓意万名跑友一起“甬”往直前、奔向未来。奖牌设计细节以古典中国风纹饰点缀，以波浪浮雕代表宁波这座沿海开放城市的城市特质。古今的设计理念，尽显宁波深厚的人文底蕴，同时传递宁波及杭州湾新区开放、创新的城市气质。
